Ace Center Awarded to Hirschfeld Industries
San Angelo, TX (December 31, 2014) – Hirschfeld Industries was awarded the structural steel fabrication and erection for the Ace Center in Sugarland, Texas by Linbeck Group, LLC.
Ace Center will be a “first of its kind” new live entertainment venue for the “Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land” metro region. The signature facility will feature movable walls that expand and contract the interior size of the building. The City of Sugar Land partnered with ACE SL, LLC and Martinez + Johnson Architecture to design the state-of-the-art facility. ACE’s parent company is ACE Theatrical Group.
Total project cost is estimated at $74 million. Delivery and erection of complex structural steel components is expected to begin in April 2015.
Ace Center is an excellent addition to Hirschfeld’s list of complex performing arts venues, which include the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in San Antonio, Texas, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri, UT Permian Basin Center for the Performing Arts in Midland, Texas, Cedar Park Events Center in Cedar Park, Texas, and New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey.
